Desert Peak Therapies is accepting new patients! We welcome pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. Our highly-trained speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists approach each session with compassion. Functional and individualized treatments are designed to improve your quality of life and engagement within your community. Your care is our focus!
Ultimately, the decision is up to you. It has been proven that early intervention contributes to greater success in the future. If you are concerned, please give us a call to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with one of our highly-qualified clinicians to guide you on the best course of action for your child.
During an evaluation, a licensed clinician will observe a client's performance as they participate in standardized assessments and/or engage in specifically-directed activities. Once the results are analyzed, the clinician will recommend the frequency of treatments needed to achieve your goals and discuss the next steps.
*If swallowing is being assessed, a formal swallow study must be performed at an outside clinic or hospital before your evaluation at Desert Peak Therapies.
We currently accept the following insurances as in-network providers:
- Medicaid FFS
- Nevada Check Up
We also welcome private-pay clients and are happy to provide you with a superbill (an itemized receipt) to help you collect your out-of-network benefits.
We are currently working on becoming credentialed with other local providers. If you have questions about your insurance plan, please give us a call!
An occupational therapist evaluates and treats people with delays, disabilities, or impairments. OTs develop individualized treatment plans that consist of therapeutic activities based on each client's daily roles and activities to help them recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed to live independently.
If you or someone you know is struggling with daily activities, OT can help! Our goal is to help our clients overcome challenges that occur within self-care, school, play, leisure, household management, and the work environment. Wherever issues occur within these daily activities, we are able to assist with the development or rehabilitation of skills, modification of the environment, and implementation of strategies.
OTs and PTs both help clients develop essential skills for daily living.
