Megan Marble

Megan Marble, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Owner

Megan fulfilled her deep-rooted dreams of serving the Reno, Nevada communities when she opened the doors of Desert Peak Therapies in May of 2022! Megan is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with almost 10 years of experience and holds dual state licenses in Washington and Nevada. Over the years, Megan has had the opportunity to work with clients of all ages in multiple therapy settings. In 2014, Megan discovered her appreciation for private practice and has since devoted her time and energy to one day opening her own therapy clinic. Today, Megan has not only made her dream a reality but is able to contribute her knowledge and skills to help others have a more prosperous and fulfilling life.

Megan received her bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in English from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). Her interest in language and passion for helping others ultimately led her to pursue a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the UNR School of Medicine. Megan holds a certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is PROMPT-trained (Level 1). She is also an active member of the Nevada Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSHA).

Although Megan is a northern California native, she has lived in various corners of the country, practicing speech pathology in both Washington and New York prior to returning to the Reno area.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys traveling, skiing, dabbling in the arts, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and her Shiba Inu pup, Lexi.

Kelsie Colombini

Kelsie Colombini, M.S., OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Kelsie was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Her passion for working with children with special needs led her to a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University in San Rafael, California.

Kelsie is licensed through the State of Nevada Board of Occupational Therapy, certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Kelsie has a wide variety experience working with diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, dementia, Down syndrome, and substance use disorders. She has specialized training in sensory regulation, vision therapy, kinesiotaping, and pediatric yoga. Kelsie is passionate about helping her patients overcome daily difficulties and find meaningful ways to engage in life to the fullest degree.

In her free time, Kelsie loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, boating, camping, paddle boarding, skiing, and general adventuring. When she isn’t outside, you can find her curled up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, going to concerts with her husband, or planning her next national park trip.

Laura Martinmaas

Laura Martinmaas, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Laura grew up in Reno, Nevada, and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Laura is licensed through the Nevada Board of Examiners and holds a certificate of clinical competency (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also an active member of the Nevada Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSHA).

Laura has a strong background in pediatrics, including special interest and advanced training with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing population and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has completed the American Sign Language (ASL) Arizona Total Immersion program, Visual Phonics: Phonics and Pronunciation Strategies training, Language Acquisition Through Motor Planning (LAMP) training, and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) Level 1 training.

Laura is passionate about helping her clients meet their full potential and advocating for their needs both in and out of the therapy room.

Outside of the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. She can often be found at the lake camping, wakeboarding, and boating or in the desert off-roading and exploring new places with her husband and their energetic dog, Maya.
